What is BaZi (八字)?

Bazi translates to “eight characters". The year, month, day, and hour of your birthday each generate two characters, hence (Bazi) eight characters. 

Each character is represented by an element (i.e., fire, earth, metal, water, wood), a yin or yang polarity, and a representation of the ten gods. When all of these components are reviewed together, it paints a picture of how your life has unfolded and what potential it holds for you in the future.

What is the main difference between BaZi and western astrology?

Like western astrology, BaZi can show you a snapshot of life from the moment you are born. However, the main differentiator is that a huge component of BaZi relies on the analysis of the decade and annual luck pillars. This is where the fun starts, where we can dig into the unfolding of the last decade and annually and look ahead to decipher what "might" unfold in the future.

How long does it take?

We will meet over zoom to discuss your chart in detail and to answer any of your questions. 

Individual - expect approx. 1.5-2 hours. 

Couple - expect approx. 2-3 hours
